Photos: New Tottenham signing tangles with Erik Lamela at Wembley training

Erik Lamela and Victor Wanyama go head-to-head during Tottenham Hotspur training at Wembley

Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela didn’t hold back in training as the Tottenham Hotspur squad were put through their paces at Wembley on Wednesday afternoon.

The Lilywhites had to come from behind to rescue a point in their opening Premier League game of the season at the weekend after a 1-1 draw with Everton at Goodison Park.

Ross Barkley broke the deadlock for the Toffees before Argentina midfielder Lamela levelled in the second half to salvage a point for Mauricio Pochettino’s men on Merseyside.

And the South American looked fresh in training as he did battle with new Tottenham signing Wanyama in front of his manager as Spurs trained at the home of English football.

Tottenham will play their Champions League fixtures at Wembley this season after Pochettino sealed the Lilywhites’s return to Europe’s top table thanks to a third-place finish last season.

Here is a round-up of the best photos from their training session at Wembley.
