Real Madrid forward hoping for Liverpool transfer – report
Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard is holding out for a move to Liverpool, according to reports in British media
Martin Odegaard is hoping to complete a loan move to Liverpool from Real Madrid, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Los Blancos want to send the Denmark international on loan to gain more first-team experience before returning to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
The same article states that Madrid would prefer to send Odegaard on loan to the Bundesliga – with both Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburg interested – but the midfielder is hoping to link up with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
The 17-year-old featured for the 11-time Champions League champions during the International Champions Cup in United States but he appears likely to complete a loan move away for next season.
Odegaard signed for Real Madrid in a deal from Stromsgodset in January 2015 after interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Klopp has already been very busy in the summer transfer window so far after the Liverpool manager signed seven players ahead of the 2016/17 Premier League season.
The Reds have signed goalkeepers Loris Karius and Alex Manninger, defenders Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan, plus Georginio Wijnaldum, Marko Grujic and Sadio Mane.
