Real Madrid striker still wants Arsenal transfer this summer – report
Alvaro Morata could be a summer transfer target for Arsenal, according to reports in Spain
Alvaro Morata is not happy about his situation at Real Madrid and still wants to force through a transfer to Arsenal this summer, according to reports in Spain.
El Confidencial is reporting that Morata is concerned that he will not be able to hold down a regular starting spot at Real Madrid next season and could seek a move away from The Bernabeu.
The striker’s future has been a source of speculation this summer following his return to Real Madrid after the Spanish club opted to buy him back from Juventus earlier in the transfer window.
It had been thought that Morata was happy to stay at Madrid and fight for his first-team place at the club, but this report states otherwise.
The same report goes on to explain that Morata would favour a transfer to Arsenal should he end up leaving Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
The story also claims that Manchester United and Chelsea have shown an interest in Morata this summer.
Arsenal finished second in the Premier League last season and were criticised for failing to sustain a title challenge.
