Report delivers double transfer update which will excite Arsenal fans

Arsene Wenger will be given the transfer funds to sign Alexandre Lacazette and Shkodran Mustafi, say reports

Arsene Wenger has been told that he can break the bank to sign Alexandre Lacazette and Shkodran Mustafi this summer by Arsenal chiefs, according to reports in the British media.

The Times is reporting that the club are prepared to give Wenger whatever funds he needs to bring striker Lacazette and defender Mustafi to The Emirates in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a host of players throughout the summer transfer window but have thus far only signed Granit Xhaka, Takuma Asano and Rob Holding.

Wenger is thought to be keen to bring in a new striker this summer and has already failed with a bid to sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester City before Euro 2016.

The Gunners have also had a £29m bid rejected by Lyon for striker Lacazette as Wenger looks to add some more firepower to his squad.

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League last season but were criticised for failing to sustain a title challenge as they ended up 10 points behind surprise champions Leicester City.
