Ryan Giggs says he didn’t think about Paul Pogba’s £92m price tag once during the midfielder’s second Manchester United debut on Friday night.

The 23-year-old started his first Red Devils game since his big-money return to Old Trafford from Serie A giants Juventus earlier this month.

Pogba starred in the heart of Jose Mourinho’s midfield as the 20-time English champions racked up successive Premier League victories.

And Giggs, who played with Pogba during the midfielder’s first spell at Old Trafford, was impressed with the Euro 2016 finalists’s performance.

“The biggest compliment I can give him was that I was watching him and I wasn’t thinking £89m. I was watching a player enjoying himself, trying things and expressing himself,” Giggs told Sky Sports after Friday night’s 2-0 win.

Pogba moved to Serie A giants Juventus in an £800,000 deal from United in 2012 after he failed to secure a regular starting place under Sir Alex Ferguson.

The French playmaker won four successive Serie A titles and finished as a Champions League runners-up during a four-year stay in Turin.
