Sir Alex Ferguson seemed to be impressed by Manchester United's Community Shield triumph

Sir Alex Ferguson seemed to give his stamp of approval to Manchester United’s first official game under Jose Mourinho on Sunday afternoon.

The former Red Devils boss was in the stands at Wembley as the Red Devils notched up a 2-1 win to beat Leicester City and win the Community Shield in north London.

Manchester United took the lead thanks to Jesse Lingard’s impressive solo goal in the first half at Wembley.

However, the Premier League champions fought back and equalised thanks to Jamie Vardy’s strike seven minutes after half-time.

But Zlatan Ibrahimovic headed home the winner in the 82nd minute to secure the first trophy of Mourinho’s reign at Old Trafford.

And Ferguson, as pictured in the photograph above, seemed to be pleased with what he saw from his former team against the Foxes.
