Martin Keown: This Man United player should be worried ahead of derby

Martin Keown suggests that Anthony Martial's place in the Manchester United starting line-up could be under threat

Martin Keown believes that Anthony Martial should be worried about his place in the Manchester United team ahead of Saturday’s crunch derby clash against Manchester City.

The Red Devils are preparing to welcome their bitter local rivals to Old Trafford as Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola prepare to go head to head for the first time in the Premier League.

The 20-year-old Martial has started all three of United’s Premier League games so far this season but is yet to find the net for the Red Devils, despite notching up two assists for his team-mates.

And former Arsenal defender Keown has suggested that Martial’s place in the starting line-up could be under threat ahead of Saturday’s showdown at Old Trafford.

Writing in his column for The Daily Mail, Keown said: “If anyone could be in trouble I would think maybe Anthony Martial has the most to worry about.

“He’s very talented and had a brilliant first season at Old Trafford, but he hasn’t contributed too much this term and it was he who Rashford came on for before scoring the late, late winner against Hull.”
