Antonio Conte: This new Chelsea signing is incredibly humble

Antonio Conte discusses the impact that N'Golo Kante has had at Chelsea so far this season

Antonio Conte has heaped praise on N’Golo Kante for the attitude he has shown since his arrival at Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The France international was one of Conte’s first signings since his appointment as the Blues’ new manager earlier in the year and has been a regular fixture in the Chelsea side this season.

Kante earned plenty of new admirers for his powerful and reliable performances in midfield for Leicester City last season as Claudio Ranieri’s men went on to win the Premier League title in stunning fashion.

Chelsea were quick to come calling after the end of the season and Kante eventually opted to move to the west London club, and has already made eight Premier League appearance for his new club.

Conte says he has been thrilled by what he has seen from Kante since his arrival at the club in the summer.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea’s website, Conte said: “He is an important player. We are very pleased to have him with us.

“He’s a fantastic player. Good stamina, technique, personality.
