Ray Parlour states prediction for Bayer Leverkusen v Tottenham
The Arsenal legend is tipping Tottenham Hotspur to draw 1-1 with Bayer Leverkusen
Ray Parlour is backing Tottenham Hotspur to secure a valuable draw with Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The Lilywhites have been in good form in recent weeks following a 2-0 win against Premier League leaders Manchester City at White Hart Lane before salvaging a point in a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side got their Champions League group-stage campaign back on track in their last outing in Russia after Son Heung-min netted their winner in a 1-0 victory over CSKA Moscow following a 2-1 defeat by AS Monaco at Wembley in the first game back at European’s top table.
Former Arsenal midfielder Parlour is tipping Tottenham to play out a draw with Bundesliga side Leverkusen on Tuesday night.
“Tottenham might get a point. It would be a good draw for Spurs away from home,” Parlour told Alan Brazil Up Front podcast.
On Tottenham’s impressive form away from home in the Premier League and the Champions League under Pochettino, Parlour added:
“Mauricio Pochettino has done a brilliant job. They’re still unbeaten in the Premier League. They’ve got that little bit of grit now,” Parlour added.
Tottenham are in third place in the Premier League table and a point behind leaders City after eight games.
