Ian Wright states prediction for Bournemouth v Tottenham

The former Arsenal striker believes Tottenham Hotspur will make a return to winning ways at Bournemouth this weekend

Ian Wright is backing Tottenham Hotspur to edge to victory over Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Lilywhites have made an impressive start to the Premier League season after remaining unbeaten after eight games so far.

Tottenham are the only Premier League team to have beaten Manchester City after a 2-0 win against Pep Guardiola’s side at White Hart Lane.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have drawn their last two games against West Bromwich Albion and Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.

However, former Arsenal striker Wright believes the north London side will be able to secure a close-fought three points against the Cherries this weekend.

“This will be a really good game for Tottenham,” Wright told The Sun Goals app.

“Bournemouth coming off the pumping of Hull. Tottenham going there as challengers. It is going to be a tough game. I can see Tottenham nicking it.”

Tottenham are in third place in the Premier League table and a point behind leaders Manchester City and second-placed Arsenal.

The Lilywhites have already beaten Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough, Stoke City and Guardiola’s Citizens outfit this term.
