Watch: Cesc Fabregas sends message to Antonio Conte ahead of Southampton v Chelsea

Cesc Fabregas is aiming to show Antonio Conte that he is ready to earn back a place in the Chelsea team

Cesc Fabregas has taken to social media to reveal that he is training hard as he bids to earn back a place in the Chelsea starting line-up.

The Spanish midfielder has found his first team opportunities at Stamford Bridge this season few and far between since Antonio Conte’s appointment as the club’s new manager back in the summer.

Fabregas missed Wednesday night’s 2-1 EFL Cup defeat at the hands of West Ham United with a thigh injury and it remains to be seen whether the Spaniard will be ready for Sunday’s trip to St Mary’s.

The 29-year-old has only made one Premier League start for Conte’s side so far this season and the midfielder has been linked with a move away from Chelsea in recent weeks due to his lack of playing time.

However, the midfielder used his personal Instagram account to reveal that he is out training at Cobham as he bids to regain full fitness.

Fabregas posted the video above on the app without a caption on Thursday afternoon.
