Mark Lawrenson states his prediction for Chelsea v Leicester

Mark Lawrenson looks ahead to Chelsea's clash with Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday

Mark Lawrenson is tipping Chelsea to make it back to back wins in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over defending champions Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime.

The Blues head into the game on the back of their 2-0 win over Hull City before the international break as Antonio Conte’s men look to climb the Premier League table from seventh place.

Conte’s side have made a stuttering start to the new season and have already lost against Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea this term.

The Blues will be aiming to secure a top four finish and break back into the Champions League places this season.

And former Liverpool man Lawrenson is tipping the west London side to get the job done against Claudio Ranieri’s men this weekend.

Writing in his column for BBC Sport, Lawrenson said: “Chelsea manager Antonio Conte needs more time to work with his players but he did not get that during the international break because most of them will have been away.

“The Blues won at Hull in their last game, when Conte switched to a three-man defence, but his side still have issues at the back.

“I expect Leicester to put up more of a fight than the Tigers did but the Foxes have lost three out of three away games in the Premier League this season.

“On Saturday, I think they will make it four away defeats out of four.”
