Michael Owen states his prediction for Chelsea v Leicester
Michael Owen looks ahead to Chelsea's clash with Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime
Michael Owen is tipping Chelsea to make it back to back wins in the Premier League by beating Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime.
The Blues head into the game looking to build on their 2-0 victory over Hull City before the international break.
Chelsea have made a stuttering start to life under Antonio Conte and have already suffered defeats by top-four rivals Arsenal and Liverpool this term.
The west London side find themselves in seventh place in the Premier League table and five points adrift of top spot after seven games of the new campaign.
However, former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen is expecting to see Chelsea take the three points against the defending champions in west London on Saturday.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “The last two Premier League champions go head-to-head at the Bridge and I’m not convinced it will be a welcome return to his former club for Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri.
“The champions have lost all three of their away Premier League games so far this season but they have lost only one of their last five in the capital.
“I think the Blues will probably shade it in a game in which I expect to see goals.”
Chelsea finished 10th in the Premier League and without a trophy in what was a season to forget for the Blues last term.
