Chris Sutton reacts to Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Leicester
The former Chelsea striker has his say on Tottenham Hotspur's 1-1 draw with Leicester City
Chris Sutton praised Leicester City for an aggressive performance after Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Lilywhites broke the deadlock in the first half thanks to Vincent Janssen’s first Premier League goal for the north London side after Leicester defender was adjudged to have brought down the Netherlands international.
However, the defending Premier League champions were level inside four minutes of the second half after Ahmed Musa finished from close range following Jamie Vardy’s superb low cross at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham’s stalemate means that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have drawn their last three Premier League games and are winless in five outings in all competitions.
Former Chelsea striker Sutton felt Leicester were good value for their point against the Premier League title contenders in north London.
“It has been a fantastic game. There has been a lot of aggression and a lot of tackles flying in. Both sides going for it. Leicester have been a threat on the counter-attack,” Sutton told BT Sport.
Tottenham lost 2-1 to title rivals Liverpool in the EFL Cup fourth round at Anfield on Tuesday night.
