Eden Hazard brought down to earth by Chelsea team-mate
Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has a blunt message for Eden Hazard
John Obi Mikel has tried to give Eden Hazard a reality check by insisting that the Chelsea playmaker is not as “cool” as he thinks he is.
The Belgian playmaker has shown signs of improvement this season after struggling for form and fitness for the Blues last term.
Hazard, like most of his Chelsea team-mates, struggled to perform last season as the west London club slumped to a disappointing 10th-placed finish in the Premier League following Jose Mourinho’s sacking back in December.
Hazard was in fine form for Chelsea in the 2014-15 season as he helped to fire the Blues to a Premier League and League Cup double, and was also voted the PFA player of the year.
But Mikel has delivered a blunt message to his team-mate about what he thinks of himself.
Mikel is quoted as saying by The Daily Star: “Mr Cool? It depends.
“Eden thinks he’s the cool one, but definitely Hazard is not the cool one.
“I’d probably say me and Gaz [Cahill].”
