Eidur Gudjohnsen sends message to Jose Mourinho after Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Man United

The former Chelsea striker had plenty to say after the Blues' beat Manchester United 4-0 at Stamford Bridge

Eidur Gudjohnsen risked the wrath of his former manager Jose Mourinho after Chelsea’s 4-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues required a mere 30 seconds to break the deadlock in west London after Pedro Rodriguez raced past the United defence before he placed his finish in the vacated net.

The home side were 2-0 up in the 20th minute after stand-in Chelsea captain Gary Cahill pounced on a loose ball in the penalty area and lifted his finish high into David De Gea’s net.

Eden Hazard extended Chelsea’s lead in the 61st minute thanks to a clinical finish at De Gea’s near post before N’Golo Kante scored his first Blues goal to seal three points.

Gudjohnsen was part of Mourinho’s Chelsea side that won the Premier League title in 2005 in the Portuguese coach’s first season at the west London club.

However, the former Blues striker caused controversy on Twitter when he posted the below tweet following Chelsea’s emphatic win against Mourinho’s side.

The former Chelsea striker felt compelled to emphasise his continued appreciation for Mourinho after raising eyebrows on Twitter.
