Emmanuel Frimpong has taken to social media to praise Arsenal after the Gunners’ 4-1 win over Sunderland on Saturday lunchtime.
The former Arsenal used his personal Twitter account to thank the Gunners for the result after the final whistle.
Frimpong simply tweeted: “Thank you Arsenal.”
Alexis Sanchez gave the Gunners an early lead when he headed in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s cross.
However, the Gunners were pegged back after the break when Jermain Defoe converted his penalty after Petr Cech was adjudged to have fouled Duncan Watmore in the box.
But the Black Cats were not level for long, as substitute Olivier Giroud quickly fired home, before adding his second of the afternoon with a header.
And Sanchez then converted from close range to make it 4-1 and send Arsenal to the top of the Premier League table.
Arsenal now turn their attentions back to the Champions League and their trip to Ludogorets on Tuesday night.
