Emmanuel Frimpong has taken to social media to praise Arsenal after the Gunners’ 4-1 win over Sunderland on Saturday lunchtime.

The former Arsenal used his personal Twitter account to thank the Gunners for the result after the final whistle.

Frimpong simply tweeted: “Thank you Arsenal.”

Alexis Sanchez gave the Gunners an early lead when he headed in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s cross.

However, the Gunners were pegged back after the break when Jermain Defoe converted his penalty after Petr Cech was adjudged to have fouled Duncan Watmore in the box.

But the Black Cats were not level for long, as substitute Olivier Giroud quickly fired home, before adding his second of the afternoon with a header.
