Emre Can has taken to social media to thank Liverpool fans for their support as he and his team-mates prepare for their crunch clash against Manchester United next week.

The German midfielder will be hoping to feature when Jurgen Klopp’s men host their bitter local rivals at Anfield in their Premier League encounter on Monday night.

Can has struggled with injury in recent weeks and has only made three substitute appearances for Liverpool in the Premier League so far this season.

However, he is now fit and available for selection again as the Reds prepare for their crunch clash against Jose Mourinho’s men.

And Can was pleased to pose for a picture with some Liverpool fans on Tuesday, as he posted the photo above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “I feel honored to play for a legendary club as Liverpool FC and its amazing fans! You guys rock!!! My moms comment on the pics “Emre, you have a problem with moth!” Really mom? I mean, are all moms like this? #MomsAreTheBest #YNWA #Liverpool #EC23″
