Eric Bailly has take to social media to thank Manchester United’s fans for their support as he bids to make a return to action for the Red Devils as soon as possible following his injury.

The defender, who signed for the Red Devils from Villarreal in the summer transfer window, suffered a knee injury in the 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Bailly is now set to endure a spell on the sidelines as he recovers from the setback while his Manchester United team-mates look to steer themselves back into good form.

The defender says that he is likely to be out of action for around two months, which would be a significant blow to United, with Bailly having been a regular fixture in the first team since his summer transfer.

The Ivory Coast international posted the picture above of himself in recovery mode on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “I wanted to thank you for all the messages of support that I received since the injury!

“I hope to be able to play again for United and The Elephants before 2 months, God willing. 🙏🏾 Thanks for always being there!”
