Mark Schwarzer believes that N’Golo Kante needs to improve his form in front of goal following his arrival at Chelsea in the summer.

The French midfielder earned plenty of new admirers for his consistent and reliable performances in central midfield for Claudio Ranieri’s men last season as Leicester City went on to win the Premier League title.

Kante has been a regular fixture in the Chelsea side since his summer transfer to Stamford Bridge and looks to have had no trouble adapting to life in the capital.

However, his former Leicester team-mate Schwarzer feels that the France international has plenty of room for improvement in the shooting department.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea’s website, Schwarzer said: “The one aspect of his game he can improve is his shooting.

“He can shoot but he only scored one goal last season. He possesses a good strike and he just has to get it right on the pitch. Every other aspect of his game is incredible.”

Kante earned plenty of praise for his displays for Leicester last term before he opted to leave the King Power Stadium to move to Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

He has made eight appearances for the Blues so far in the Premier League this season.
