Glenn Hoddle makes exciting claim about Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool

The former Tottenham boss is a big fan of Liverpool's style of football under Jurgen Klopp

Glenn Hoddle says Liverpool are playing the most exciting football in the Premier League.

The Reds were 2-1 winners against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday evening thanks to goals from Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho in the first half at Anfield.

The 18-time English champions registered 21 shots on goal but failed to score a third past Ben Foster, who made five saves to foil Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana.

Liverpool are the Premier League’s leading goal-scorers after finding the net 20 times in their opening nine games in the 2016-17 season.

Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur manager Hoddle explained what he likes about Klopp’s current Liverpool crop.

“They were fantastic. Going forward, they are probably the most exciting team,” Hoddle told BT Sport’s Premier League Tonight show.

“They play in spells that are scintillating. The movement off the ball. Jurgen Klopp has got them playing with a smile on their face.”

Liverpool are still waiting to win the Premier League for the first time after finishing in the runners-up spot in 2009 and 2014.

The Reds signed seven players in the summer transfer window after the Merseyside club finished in eighth place under Klopp last term.
