Graeme Souness makes bold claim about Liverpool and Man United

Graeme Souness believes that Liverpool have stronger team than Manchester United this season.
The Red Devils are currently getting used to life under new manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford following the Portuguese coach’s appointment as Louis van Gaal’s successor back in May.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have begun their first full season with Jurgen Klopp at the helm and have looked in good form so far this term.
The Merseyside outfit have already secured victories over the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City – and played out a goalless draw with Manchester United at Anfield on Monday night.
United have lost twice in the top flight this term and currently sit five points behind leaders Manchester City in the Premier League table.
And former Liverpool star Souness believes that Reds fans will be more optimistic about the season ahead than their United counterparts.
Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Monday morning, Souness said: “United are still searching for their best team and way of playing. Man United, even when Liverpool were dominant, always saw themselves as the biggest club in England. The tables have been reversed in the last 25 years.
“Right now if I could be a neutral I think the tables are turning again.
“Man United have been fabulous for the last 25 years, but if you look at the two groups of players you would say Liverpool are stronger.”
Manchester United travel to Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
