How Tottenham’s signings have rated so far: Sissoko, Wanyana and more

Mauricio Pochettino made five signings in the summer, but how have Tottenham's new arrivals done so far?

Victor Wanyama

The Kenya international moved to Tottenham Hotspur in a £30m deal from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer transfer window. Victor Wanyama has added more muscle to what was an already strong Tottenham midfield. While goal-scoring isn’t really in his remit, the defensive midfielder opened his account in their second Premier League game after scoring Tottenham’s winner in a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace. He looks like a shrewd addition at £11m. 8/10

Vincent Janssen

Vincent Janssen finished as the Eredivisie’s top goal-scorer in the 2016-17 after netting 27 times in 33 games. His form in the Dutch top flight resulted in a £19m move to Tottenham from AZ Alkmaar. However, the 22-year-old has struggled to transfer his prolific form to the Premier League. The Netherlands international is still waiting to opening his account after 11 games. Fortunately for Mauricio Pochettino, Son Heung-min’s goals have masked Janssen’s struggles in the absence of injured Harry Kane. 5

Moussa Sissoko

Tottenham raised eyebrows when the Lilywhites signed Moussa Sissoko in a £30m deal from Championship side Newcastle United in the final week of the summer transfer window. The box-to-box midfielder was underwhelming for the Magpies in their failed bid to beat the drop last term but managed to impress at this summer’s European championship. So, which Sissoko have Tottenham signed? So far, it looks like the French edition after showing great tenacity and willingness to work hard for Pochettino’s team. Hopefully there is more to come, too. 7.5

Georges-Kévin Nkoudou

Georges-Kévin Nkoudou completed a protracted move to White Hart Lane from Marseille in the summer transfer window. However, the French winger has been limited to two substitute appearances in the Premier League so far. It remains to be seen whether this is a good summer signing. N/A

Paul Lopez

The Spanish goalkeeper is still waiting to make his first appearance for Tottenham following his summer transfer. N/A
