Ian Wright pleads with Arsenal not to do this to him

Ian Wright is desperate for Arsenal not to "tease" him this season with sporadic good performances

Ian Wright has pleaded with Arsenal not to “tease” him with their impressive form so far this season.

The north London side have made a strong start to the new campaign after bouncing back from their opening-weekend defeat by Liverpool at The Emirates back in August.

After dropping points in their opening two Premier League games, Arsenal have won all five of their most recent top-flight clashes to move up to third place in the table.

Arsenal have recorded impressive wins in recent weeks and earned plenty of praise for their performances in the 3-0 demolition of Chelsea and 2-0 victory over Basel in the Champions League.

The Gunners laboured to a 1-0 win over Burnley in their most recent outing before the international break as Laurent Koscielny scored a stoppage-time winner.

And Wright is desperate for Arsenal to continue their good form in the coming weeks and build on their solid performances.

Speaking to The Sun’s Goals podcast earlier this month, Wright said: “What I don’t want is Arsenal to tease us with that kind of performance [against Chelsea].

“That is what you don’t want. Arsenal can go on a run now.”
