Ian Wright says this Arsenal star looks like a man on a mission

Ian Wright has been impressed by Theo Walcott's start to the new season at Arsenal

Ian Wright has heaped praise on Theo Walcott after the Arsenal forward’s strong start to the new season.

The England international has been one of the north London side’s standout performers this season and has earned plenty of praise for his displays so far this term.

Walcott has come in for his fair share of criticism for failing to perform on a regular basis for the Gunners since his arrival at the club from Southampton as a 16-year-old back in 2006.

However, after missing out on a place in the England squad for Euro 2016, the 27-year-old forward has clearly been working hard during the off-season.

And he appears to be making big improvements this season as he bids to hold down a regular starting spot in the Arsenal side.

Former Arsenal striker Wright has been delighted by what he has seen from Walcott so far this season.

Speaking on The Sun’s Goals podcast, Wright said: “Theo Walcott is working very hard for the team. He looks stronger and more focused…

“There is an intensity to him. He looks vexed. He looks like a man who is on a bit of a mission now.”
