Ian Wright: What I really like about Arsenal this season

Ian Wright delivers his verdict on Arsenal's strong start to the Premier League season

Ian Wright has admitted his delight about Arsenal’s strong start to the season.

The north London club continued their recent fine form on Wednesday night with a thumping 6-0 victory over Ludogorets in the Champions League group stage at The Emirates.

Arsenal have won their last six games in a row in the Premier League and are currently level on points with Manchester City at the top of the table.

The Gunners have looked strong since their opening weekend defeat by Liverpool and will be hoping to continue their winning run against Middlesbrough this weekend.

And Wright admits that he has been thrilled by the consistency shown by Arsene Wenger’s men so far this season as they look to stretch their positive run.

Speaking on BT Sport on Wednesday night, former Arsenal striker Wright said: “The main thing right now with Arsenal which I’m pleased with is that there’s a lot of confidence in there.

“All you want them to do is continue on this wave of confidence and goal-scoring – long may it continue, simply because they’re going to need to be doing that.”
