Jurgen Klopp’s side won their opening two Premier League games of the season at Anfield after scoring nine times in victories over defending champions Leicester City and promoted side Hull City.

However, Jose Mourinho managed to tame Klopp’s impressive Liverpool attack as the hosts were limited to just three shots on target during the bitter clash at Anfield.

In fact, the Merseyside outfit failed to find their attacking rhythm in what was a largely frustrating night for Klopp and his Liverpool players.

Carragher, though, insisted Liverpool should be satisfied with a point against a well-drilled Mourinho side.

Liverpool are in fourth place in the Premier League table and two points adrift of leaders Manchester City and second-placed Arsenal.

United, on the other hand, are in seventh place and six points behind Pep Guardiola’s side ahead of Sunday’s trip to Chelsea.
