Jamie Carragher makes bold prediction about Liverpool and Man United in title race
The Liverpool legend believes Jurgen Klopp's side are more likely than Manchester United to win the title
Jamie Carragher has claimed that Liverpool are more likely than Manchester United to win the Premier League title this season.
The Reds are in fourth place in the table and two points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City after Tottenham Hotspur were 2-0 winners against Pep Guardiola’s side in the final top-flight game ahead of the international break.
Liverpool recorded their fourth successive Premier League win at the Liberty Stadium after a 2-1 win against Swansea City thanks to goals from Roberto Firmino and James Milner in the second half in south Wales.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have already beaten reigning Premier League champions Leicester City at Anfield this season, and have recorded impressive away wins against top-four rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.
Former Liverpool defender Carragher stated that Klopp’s men are more likely to win this season’s Premier League crown than United after the Red Devils’ inconsistent start to the campaign.
“It probably feels like that [Liverpool more likely to win title than United] now, because of how Liverpool have started the season,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
United have beaten Bournemouth, Southampton, Hull City and Leicester in the Premier League so far.
The Red Devils have lost to Manchester City and Watford before a 1-1 stalemate with Stoke City.
