Jamie Redknapp makes bold prediction about Liverpool and Tottenham this season

Jamie Redknapp says either Liverpool, Tottenham or Manchester City will win the title this season

Jamie Redknapp believes that Liverpool and Tottenham will be Manchester City’s closest title challengers this season and says one of those three teams will win the Premier League this term.

Spurs kept up their fine start to the season with an impressive 2-0 victory over City at White Hart Lane last weekend as Mauricio Pochettino’s men became the first team to take any points off the Citizens this term.

That left the north London side in second place in the top flight table and just two points behind leaders Manchester City after seven games.

Liverpool have also made a strong start to the new campaign and currently sit just two points behind leaders City in the top flight table.

The Reds have recorded impressive wins against Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City this season after starting Jurgen Klopp’s first full season in charge in fine form.

And former Liverpool midfielder Redknapp feels that one of City, Spurs or Liverpool will win the title this season.

Speaking in an interview with The Daily Mail, Redknapp said: “Tottenham, Liverpool and City are the three best teams in the League. We’ll find a winner from those. There is such a long way to go but this has been a dream start for Spurs.

“Don’t underestimate what that does for their belief. They comfortably beat the team that everyone thought were going to walk away with the title.”
