Jamie Redknapp: Why Tottenham really miss Harry Kane

The former Tottenham midfielder says the Lilywhites are struggling without Harry Kane

Jamie Redknapp insists Tottenham Hotspur are struggling without Harry Kane.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side played out a goalless draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham have drawn their last two top-flight fixtures since an impressive 2-0 win against Manchester City at White Hart Lane last month.

Kane hasn’t featured for Tottenham since the England international suffered an ankle injury in a 1-0 win against Sunderland.

The 23-year-old centre-forward returned to first-team training last week ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side.

Former Tottenham midfielder Redknapp highlighted how Pochettino’s side are struggling without Kane despite Son Heung-min’s recent form.

“Harry Kane scored a hat-trick in this fixture last year – that’s the difference,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.

“Son played a big part when they beat Man City but there is no doubt Tottenham are a much better side when Harry Kane is in it.

“They miss everything about him. He is the leaders in the team. He brings everyone into the play.”

Son has scored four Premier League goals this season, although the South Korean has only scored twice since Kane’s injury blow.

The Lilywhites are the only unbeaten club in the 2016-17 Premier League campaign following five victories and three stalemates.
