Johanna Konta breaks into world top 10 after reaching China Open final
Johanna Konta becomes the first British woman to break into the top 10 of the WTA rankings since 1984
Johanna Konta will make her WTA top 10 debut when the rankings are updated on Monday.
Konta is the fourth WTA player to make her top-10 debut this year and the first British woman in over 32 years, when Jo Durie reached No10 on 20 August 1984.
In addition to entering the top 10, the British No1 will move into the top eight on the Road to Singapore Leaderboard and is one step closer to qualifying for the season-ending WTA Finals.
