Jurgen Klopp says he is pleased with how his Liverpool squad has been developing this season

Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he is completely satisfied with his Liverpool squad this season.

The Reds have made a very strong start to the new Premier League season and currently sit in fourth place in the table, just two points behind leaders Manchester City after seven games.

Liverpool have already recorded impressive victories over the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City so far this season.

The Merseyside outfit appear to be clicking into gear as Klopp embarks on his first full season in charge at Anfield.

And the Liverpool boss, who was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’ successor last October, is thrilled about how his squad is developing this season.

Speaking in an interview with LFC TV, Klopp said: “I’m completely fine with my squad, I really like it. [We have] good characters with a really good attitude – and all the rest you have to develop.

“I saw a lot of things last season where I thought ‘OK, come on, let’s try.’ And you cannot do more than try.”

Klopp and his Liverpool players will now turn their attentions towards their crunch Premier League clash against Manchester United at Anfield next Monday night.

The Reds finished in eighth place in Klopp’s first campaign in charge last season.
