Jurgen Klopp makes honest admission about Liverpool’s title hopes

Is Jurgen Klopp secretly hoping that Liverpool can win the Premier League title this season?

Jurgen Klopp appears to be secretly hoping that his Liverpool side can win the Premier League title this season – but has vowed not to say it out loud.

The Reds have made a fine start to the new season and currently sit in fourth place in the table, just two points behind Manchester City after seven games.

The Merseyside outfit have already beaten the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City, and are preparing to host Manchester United in their next game.

Liverpool do not have the distraction of European football this season and many are tipping Klopp’s side to mount a serious assault on the Premier League title.

However, despite clearly harbouring lofty ambitions for this season, Klopp stopped short of saying he wants Liverpool to win the title.

Asked what he would like to have achieved in a year’s time, Klopp is quoted as saying by The Daily Mail: “To talk about a wonderful final which we’ve won. To talk about a few great, great games which we’ve won.”

He added: “I cannot say the one thing that I wish would happen. If I say it, everybody goes nuts.”
