Emre Can is confident that Liverpool have what it takes to beat Manchester United in Monday’s crunch Premier League clash at Anfield.

The Reds are preparing to return to top-flight action after the international break following their 2-1 comeback win over Swansea City in their most recent outing.

United, meanwhile, are aiming to bounce back to winning ways after the disappointment of dropping two points in their 1-1 draw with Stoke City at Old Trafford last time out.

The Red Devils are currently three points behind Liverpool in the Premier League table heading into Monday’s showdown on Merseyside.

And Can is convinced that Jurgen Klopp’s men have what it takes to secure all three points against Jose Mourinho’s men in front of their home fans.

Speaking in an interview with Liverpool’s website, Can said: “It’s a very important game for us. I think you have to forget the games before.

“Of course, you have to take the confidence from the games, but a derby against Manchester United is always different.

“We are confident enough to say that we want to win the game and we will give our best to win the game.”
