The Reds will host their bitter rivals on Merseyside in their first Premier League game since the international break.
Liverpool are in fourth place in the Premier League table and two points behind leaders Manchester City after a four-game winning run.
The 18-time English champions have scored 13 times in victories over Leicester City, Chelsea, Hull City and Swansea City.
United, meanwhile, have netted 13 times in their opening seven Premier League games so far but have only won one game in their last four Premier League outings.
Former Liverpool midfielder McAllister believes Jurgen Klopp will be constructing a plan to stop United’s world-record £89m signing Paul Pogba at Anfield on Monday night.
“United have obviously got a new manager and there is a little bit of a transition there with a lot of new players coming in,” McAllister told United’s website.
“Paul Pogba’s impressive and there will obviously be loads of homework done at Melwood to stop him playing at Anfield; then Liverpool will concentrate on what they want to do. They’ve got match-winners and players who want to get on the ball and that will be their focus. I can see goals; I don’t see this game being dull and boring.”
United are in sixth place in the Premier League table and six points behind leaders Manchester City.
Liverpool are three points ahead of Mourinho’s men ahead of Monday night’s north-west derby.
