Tony Gale predicts the outcome of Liverpool v Man United

Tony Gale looks ahead to Manchester United's crunch trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool next Monday night

Tony Gale is expecting Liverpool to have the edge over Manchester United in Monday’s crunch Premier League clash at Anfield.

The Red Devils are preparing to make the trip to Merseyside as they look to return to winning ways following the disappointment of their 1-1 draw with Stoke City before the international break.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are aiming to keep up their fine start to the season under Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds were 2-1 winners at Swansea City in their most recent outing and currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, two points behind leaders Manchester City.

The Merseyside outfit have already secured impressive victories against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City so far this season.

And former West Ham United star Gale believes that Liverpool will have an advantage over the visitors because Klopp has had longer to work with his players than Jose Mourinho.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Wednesday morning, Gale said: “I think the key to this one is that Klopp’s had long with his players than Mourinho’s had with his.

“Liverpool now, after last season, know how they want to play – all the players are clear in their mind.

“I think Manchester United are still finding their feet.

“They don’t know whether to play a high-tempo game, they don’t know whether to play a possession-based game like they did under Louis van Gaal. They’re a little bit in transition.”
