Ian Wright states prediction for Liverpool v West Brom
The former Arsenal striker believes West Brom could spring a surprise against Liverpool on Saturday evening
Ian Wright has warned Liverpool that West Brom look like a far more dangerous side in this season’s Premier League.
The Baggies were minutes from inflicting a first Premier League defeat of the season on Tottenham Hotspur last weekend after Nacer Chadli broke the deadlock in the second half at The Hawthorns.
However, England midfielder Dele Alli levelled in added time to rescue a point for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and maintain their unbeaten start to the 2016-17 Premier League season.
Liverpool played out a goalless draw with Manchester United on Monday night but ominously, the Reds have scored nine times in their last three Premier League games at Anfield.
Former Arsenal striker Wright believes West Brom are capable of getting a positive result on Merseyside in Saturday’s late kick-off in the Premier League.
“Something is happening at West Brom,” Wright told The Sun Goals app.
“You always know that they’re quite solid. Now they’re able to nick a goal from midfield as well. Rondon can nick a couple of goals. You can feel the confidence coming into West Brom. They aren’t a team that will just stifle the life out of you any more. I think they can nick something.”
Liverpool are in fourth place and two points behind leaders Manchester City and second-placed Arsenal in the Premier League table.
The Reds have already beaten Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City in the 2016-17 Premier League campaign so far.
