Man United legend Ryan Giggs admits this Liverpool star has everything
Ryan Giggs is a big fan of Daniel Sturridge but was disappointed by his performance for England on Tuesday
Ryan Giggs has admitted that Daniel Sturridge “has everything” as he praised the Liverpool striker after England’s goalless draw in Slovenia on Tuesday night.
The Liverpool forward was unable to find the net as Gareth Southgate’s men had to settle for a point on Merseyside in World Cup qualifying.
Sturridge has struggled to produce consistent form for Liverpool due to a spate of injuries with the Merseyside outfit since his transfer from Chelsea.
However, the striker is still rated as one of England’s top forwards despite being yet to net in the Premier League for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season.
Sturridge has been limited to three Premier League starts for the Reds so far this season and will be hoping to be involved when Liverpool host their bitter rivals Manchester United at Anfield next Monday night.
And Giggs has delivered his honest assessment of the striker after England’s goalless draw on Tuesday night.
Speaking as a pundit on ITV after the England draw, Giggs said: “I played with Sturridge at the Olympics [in 2012 for Great Britain].
“He has everything. He’s got a good touch, good finisher, he’s quick, he can run the channels but to be a top, top player… decision-making.
“You have to make the right decisions. You have to make the right decisions more often than you make bad decisions. Today there were just too many bad decisions.”
