Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to praise Arsenal’s fighting spirit after their 4-1 win at Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.

Arsenal took the lead early on through Alexis Sanchez’s smart header but were pegged back after the break when Jermain Defoe scored his penalty.

But Arsenal battled back and two quick-fire goals from substitute Olivier Giroud, followed up by Sanchez’s neat finish, handed the Gunners the three points.

Ozil claimed the assist for Arsenal’s third goal from the corner, and the World Cup winner was clearly thrilled to play his part in the victory.

Ozil posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account after the game and wrote: “#YaGunnersYa! 👍🏼😉 Great team mentality after the equaliser with 3 goals in less than 10 minutes 😎⚽✨ #SFCvAFC #COYG @arsenal”

The German and his Arsenal team-mates will now turn their attentions straight towards their Champions League trip to Ludogorets on Tuesday night.
