The Arsenal playmaker started for the world champions in their 2-0 win over Northern Ireland but was subbed off at half-time, sparking fears that he may have picked up an injury.

However, the 27-year-old was quick to take to social media after the game to confirm that all is well as he now turns his attentions back to club affairs.

Ozil tweeted on Tuesday night: “Thanks for taking care because of my substitution but everything is all right guys. #GERNIR #DieMannschaft.”

Arsenal will be expecting to feature from the start when Arsenal take on Swansea City in the Premier League at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners head into the game on the back of five successive victories in the top flight and looking to keep up their fine recent form.

The north London side are looking to build on their second placed finish in the Premier League table last season.
