Micky Quinn: What Arsenal must do to win the Premier League title

The former Newcastle striker explains why Arsenal need to grind out some results

Micky Quinn says Arsenal need to grind out results such as their 1-0 win against Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday evening.

The Gunners scored in the second minute of added time on Sunday evening after Laurent Koscielny netted a controversial winner to seal three points for Arsene Wenger’s side ahead of the international break.

Arsenal are currently in third place in the Premier League table following a run of five successive top-flight victories. The Gunners are two points behind current leaders Manchester City.

The north London side scored five goals in back-to-back victories over bitter rivals Chelsea and Swiss champions Basel.

Former Newcastle United defender Quinn explained what Arsenal need to do to win the 2016-17 Premier League title this season.

“They came away with the three points before the international break. If Arsenal want to be champions, they’ve got to grind out results like that even if they don’t play well,” Quinn told Alan Brazil’s Up Front podcast.

Arsenal haven’t lifted the Premier League crown since 2004 when Wenger’s side finished the season unbeaten.
