New Arsenal signing lifts lid on his first impressions of the club

Granit Xhaka appears to be thrilled with how life at Arsenal is unfolding for him

Granit Xhaka has expressed his delight with how his first few weeks at Arsenal has panned out.

The Switzerland international has already earned plenty of praise for his performances for Arsene Wenger’s men following his arrival at The Emirates early in the summer transfer window.

Xhaka has been given a regular run of games in the Arsenal first-team after Francis Coquelin was ruled out of action for a number of weeks due to a knee injury.

The 23-year-old will be hoping to establish himself as a regular fixture in the Arsenal side in the seasons to come.

And the midfielder has explained just why he is already such a big fan of the north London club.

Speaking in a Twitter Q&A with supporters, Xhaka said: “I’m really enjoying it here. Everything goes as planned, and things are really well planned here, regardless of if we are playing home or away.

“You can see it’s a club with a lot of class and that shows with everything.

“I’m very proud to play for such a club, to be a Gunner. That makes me doubly proud to have joined this team. It’s the perfect path.”

The midfielder will be hoping to feature for the Gunners when they return to Premier League action after the international break with a home clash against Swansea City this weekend.

The north London side are currently third in the Premier League table.
