Petr Cech compares Arsene Wenger to Man United boss Jose Mourinho
Petr Cech says that Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho are not so different after all
Petr Cech has revealed that the one thing both Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho have in common is they neither of them enjoy defeats.
The pair have a heated history from their recent clashes between Arsenal and Chelsea and have had touchline spats in the past.
It is clear that Arsenal boss Wenger and newly-appointed Manchester United manager Mourinho have different approaches to their management style.
However, Gunners goalkeeper Cech has revealed that the pair also have some similarities.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with FourFourTwo, Chelsea legend Cech said: “Wenger and Mourinho are different but there is one thing they have in common and that is that they do not like defeats.
“And I think this is the driving force behind the success of both of them. Because you cannot last for such a long time if you do not have the commitment and the hunger and if you are not doing everything to avoid defeat.”
Arsenal are currently gearing up for their Premier League clash with Swansea City at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have their sights firmly fixed on their showdown with bitter local rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Monday night.
Arsenal are third in the Premier League table and two points behind leaders Manchester City after seven games of the new season.
