Adam Lallana reveals his frustration at Liverpool's goalless draw with Manchester United

Adam Lallana has taken to social media to reveal his frustration at Liverpool’s failure to beat Manchester United on Monday night.

The England international was a second-half substitute at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp’s men struggled to break down the Red Devils on Merseyside.

Jose Mourinho set his team up to contain Liverpool’s potent attacking threat and the visitors were successfully able to frustrate Klopp’s team.

The draw left Liverpool two points behind leaders Manchester City after eight games.

And the England midfielder used his personal Instagram account to reflect on the result on Tuesday night.

Lallana posted the photo above on the app and wrote: “Frustrated not to get the win but a good point. Already looking forward to the weekend. #YNWA”

Lallana will be hoping to feature for Liverpool when the Reds return to Premier League action on Saturday with a home clash against West Brom.

The Reds do not have the distraction of European football this season as they look to break back into the Premier League’s top four.
