Alexis Sanchez dedicated an Instagram post to Arsenal’s birthday boy Mesut Ozil on Saturday.

The Germany international celebrated his 28th birthday on Saturday afternoon ahead of the north London side’s return to Premier League action.

Ozil moved to Arsenal in a club-record £42.5m deal from La Liga giants Real Madrid in August 2013.

Sanchez followed the German midfielder in making the move from the Spanish top flight to the Premier League just under 12 months later when the Chile international sealed a £35m switch to Arsenal from Barcelona.

And the South American made sure to post a special dedication to his Arsenal team-mate on Ozil’s 28th birthday.

Sanchez posted the above photo and wrote the following caption on his Instagram page:

“happy birthday to my friend Mesut Özil.”

Arsenal finished in second place in the Premier League table last season but 10 points behind champions Leicester City.
