Alex Iwobi celebrates Nigeria's 2-0 win against Zambia with Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho

Alex Iwobi was all smiles with Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho after Nigeria were 2-1 winners against Zambia on Sunday night.

The Arsenal midfielder broke the deadlock in the first half in the 2018 World Cup qualifier before Iheanacho doubled the away side’s lead.

Nigeria have recorded back-to-back victories over Tanzania and Zambia to edge a step closer to qualification for the major tournament in Russia.

And Iwobi and Iheanacho posed for a selfie which the Arsenal midfielder posted on his Instagram page before renewing their rivalry in the Premier League.

Iwobi wrote the following caption on the photo-sharing app:

“#3Points 🇳🇬⚽️”

The Arsenal star has been in brilliant form for the north London side in the 2016-17 season so far after making three assists in five Premier League games.

Iheanacho, meanwhile, has netted two times and three assists in five appearances in the top flight for the Premier League leaders.
