The Nigerian midfielder lavishes praise on Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil

Alex Iwobi has hailed Mesut Ozil as “the man” after the playmaker scored his first Champions League hat-trick on Wednesday night.

The Germany international scored the north London side’s fourth goal of the night after Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain netted first-half goals.

Ozil scored twice in the final seven minutes to seal an emphatic win for Arsene Wenger’s side to leave the Premier League side top of Champions League group A on goal difference.

And Nigerian midfielder Iwobi took to his Instagram page to heap praise on the World Cup winner following Ozil’s special night in Europe’s premier club competition.

Iwobi wrote the following caption: “The Man Himself @m10_official”

The former Real Madrid midfielder has now scored four times in his last two games in all competitions for the north London outfit.

Ozil has never won the Champions League despite a glittering career at Madrid and a three-year stay at Arsenal.
