Loic Remy hits the gym in a bid to recover from Chelsea striker's groin injury

Loic Remy is working hard on his fitness in the gym as the Chelsea striker targets a long-awaited return to first-team action.

The France international is still waiting to make his first appearance of the season under new manager Antonio Conte after the Italian was named as Guus Hiddink’s permanent successor earlier this year.

Remy was sent out on loan to Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Crystal Palace before the close of the summer transfer window but suffered a groin injury which forced the striker to return to his parent club.

The Chelsea loanee is thought to have at least another four weeks of rehabilitation before Remy can start to gain some match fitness ahead of his potential debut for Palace.

Training in his Chelsea gear on Thursday night, Remy posted the above video on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:

“Cant wait to be back stronger than ever. Work in progress. A bit of gym today with obviously some french tunes. @dossehofficiel That one is my favorite at the minute.”
