The Liverpool striker takes time to pose for a photo with two young supporters after Tuesday's victory

Daniel Sturridge was in a good mood on Tuesday night as the Liverpool striker posed with two supporters following his double in a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

The England international broke the deadlock in the first half with a clinical finish which he lifted over Tottenham second-choice goalkeeper Michel Vorm.

Sturridge put Liverpool in charge of the League Cup clash thanks to his second of the game in the second half following a superb counter-attacking move.

Vincent Janssen halved the deficit with 15 minutes remaining to set up a nervous finish at Anfield but Liverpool held on to secure their progress to the fourth round.

And Sturridge took the time to stop and pose for a photo with two Liverpool supporters outside Anfield after Tuesday night’s 2-1 win against Tottenham.

Sturridge posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote:

“Met a family in the car park and gave the kids my shirts. Love my fans ❤️ @ciaranhoulihan_ give the young red a follow.”

Liverpool are in third place in the Premier League table and level on points with leaders Manchester City.
