Eden Hazard has taken to social media to send his support to Willian following the death of the Chelsea attacker’s mother last week.

The Brazilian was granted compassionate leave by his club on Saturday as Chelsea secured a 3-0 victory over defending champions Leicester City at Stamford Bridge.

Goals from Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Victor Moses handed the west London side the three points without the Brazilian international.

Chelsea’s stars dedicated the victory to Willian following his tragic loss last week.

And Hazard was quick to pay tribute to his team-mate on social media, as he shared the photo above from the game on Instagram and wrote: “Wishing my friend @willianborges88 and his family all the strength. We are thinking of you!! ⚽️ #cfcfamily #cfc”

Chelsea return to Premier League action next weekend with a crunch clash against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
